Asus will launch its flagship smartphone, the Zenfone 5Z on the Indian market. The smartphone will challenge OnePlus 6 and Honor 10 and will be launched at an event in New Delhi. The launch event is expected to start at 12:30 and the company has already confirmed that the smartphone will be exclusive to Flipkart.
Asus Zenfone 5Z was first announced at the Mobile World Congress in February and is being launched today in India. This is only two months after the launch of Zenfone Max Pro M1, a mid-range device designed in collaboration with Flipkart. Asus is back in the Indian smartphone market, picked up by Chinese smartphone manufacturers. According to reports, the Asus Zenfone 5Z could be priced at Rs 29,999 for the base model. The premium model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage could be sold at Rs 36,999.
If this price turns out to be true then Asus could have a winner in his hands. He might also be able to challenge OnePlus 6, which is currently the best smartphone in the price segment below Rs 40,000. Can it really challenge OnePlus 6, we'll have to see.
We will present the latest updates of the Asus launch event in real time. So stay tuned!
