The new Bajaj Chetak will feature a retro-style design and offer a straight mix of mileage and performance. If we believe the rumors, the next Bajaj Chetak will be powered by a 125cc air-cooled single cylinder that produces about 9.5 hp and will also offer high mileage.
The new Bajaj Chetak will feature features such as a digital dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charging port, alloy rims , plenty of storage space, a spacious seat and a combination braking system. Bajaj could even offer a disc brake at the front
Previously in 2015, Bajaj Auto MD, Rajiv Bajaj had declared that the company will only launch not an automatic scooter anytime soon. He said that Bajaj is focusing on strengthening its position in the global motorcycle market before entering a new segment.
Now with the latest report, it looks like Bajaj Auto is finally ready to jump into the popular segment of automatic scooters. The new Bajaj Chetak will be a fierce rival for the Honda Activa and other scooters such as the Piaggio Vespa, the Aprilia SR150 and even the TVS Ntorq
