WhatsApp is committed to curbing spam and misinformation on the platform. As we reported earlier, WhatsApp has now deployed the suspicious link detection feature for Android Beta users. The new feature has been deployed to users with the latest beta 2.18.221. The feature was deployed globally for all beta users on Android . Basically, this feature scans incoming messages that contain links and if WhatsApp considers it suspicious, it will highlight the message with a red tag with "suspicious" text. As you can see in the picture, it is so that WhatsApp highlights a message with a suspicious link. And if you try to open the link, it will display a warning indicating that you are trying to open a dangerous link and will give you two options to continue or go back.
