The popular email application Telegram announced Thursday the launch of a new feature called Telegram Pbadport on its platform. It is essentially an end-to-end encrypted service where users can store their real IDs in order to simplify the sharing of information with the applications and services that require these documents. With the help of Telegram Pbadport, you can store IDs such as a driver's license, a pbadport, a proof of personal identification, an address identifier, a phone number and an e-mail address. In the future, all Telegram Pbadport data will be moved to a decentralized cloud. The feature is available on version 4.9 of the application on Android and iOS.
Telegram claims to not have access to your personal data and the data will be protected by end-to-end encryption, much like the company's mail servers. The data you choose to share with other applications will go directly to the recipient without access to the telegram. At launch, only ePayments.com is integrated with Telegram Pbadport, the company inviting other developers to offer it and implement it for free in their applications and services. According to Telegram, "[implementing] this requires a minimum of effort and can save a lot of coding hours."
To try this new feature, go to ePayments.com/tg and click Sign up for Telegram . The link will redirect you to the Pbadport section in the Telegram app from which you will be prompted to create a pbadword with a pbadword hint and a recovery e-mail address. Once done, users will be invited to click on the validation link in their email to complete the two-step verification.
Once activated, you can fill in the personal details and documents and click Allow to enable sharing. of this encrypted information with the provider, ePayments in this case.
