We know that Google is preparing to launch a few Pixel Phones 3 later this year, and now there are indications that a Pixel Stand Charging Dock is on the way too. In other words, put your Pixel phone in your Pixel stand, and then you can ask questions to the Google Assistant even when the phone is locked, reports 9to5Google. This looks like the loading dock that Amazon has recently unveiled, which turns your Amazon Fire tablet into an Echo Show speaker.
The reference to the Pixel stand was found in the code of a new version of the Google application, so as the rumors go, this one is quite plausible. The dock can also be equipped with a wireless charging feature, which Pixel phones offer this year.
Pixel this, Pixel that
We've seen images and renderings of what Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL might look like, but until now, we do not have much on the internal specifications of the device. The integration of the Snapdragon 845 CPU seems certain, but that is based on enlightened badumptions.
It would seem that any hardware launch event that Google will be organizing later in the year is really focused on Pixel branded devices. In addition to phones, and perhaps a loading dock, we've seen reports that Google is also preparing another Pixelbook and its first pixel smartwatch.
Adding a smart wireless charger to the mix would certainly make sense for Google, and we know that Samsung is working on something similar at the moment. As soon as Google decides to make one of these officials, we will of course let you know.
