Mphasis Q2 net profit up 37% to Rs 271 cr

New Delhi: The computer company Mphasis announced Friday a consolidated net profit of 271 billion rupees for the quarter ending in September, an increase of 37% over one year.

The company had recorded a net profit of 197.6 billion rupees during the same period last year, she said in a statement.

Total receipts increased by 19.5 per cent to Rs. 1,962.4 crores during the same quarter, compared to 1,642.2 crores in the corresponding period of 2017-18.

"We are pleased with the health of our pipeline and the continued solid execution in many areas, particularly those of New Gen Services," said Nitin Rakesh, CEO and Executive Director of Mphasis.

Between July and September, the company won contracts worth Rs 1,485.96 billion, of which 77% involved new generation services, the statement said.

The Senbad stock fell by 1.21%, or 1,075.15 rupees, or 4.27%.
