Capgemini encourages the adoption of automation and drives a training initiative

Capgemini, a consulting and IT consulting firm that employs half of its employees in India, is currently training its staff in automation technologies because it believes the potential is huge on the ground.

"More than 60% of Capgemini's work is done in India and almost all projects involve automation, even at different stages of maturity. Similarly, more than 20,000 of these skilled automation employees are based in India.

The company stated that, even if its offshore strength remained stable, its objective would be to improve productivity and conduct more operations abroad.

The Capgemini Research Institute shows that fewer than one-fifth (16%) of global companies adopt many cases of large-scale automation use, while they focus on operational gains in relation to long-term strategic growth

The report showed that among these companies already applying automation, about 25% use it on a large scale in the automotive sector, followed by industrial manufacturing and retail trade (about 15% each). Among countries, the United States and France are leading, with more than 20% of companies using large-scale automation, with India ranking fifth (15%).
