To celebrate the Diwali season, Flipkart is organizing a five-day Big Diwali sale on its platform. The sale began yesterday, November 1, and will continue until November 5. Throughout the sales period, Flipkart will offer significant discounts on several products in all categories, including the smartphone segment. The ecommerce platform offers flat rate discounts on smartphones, including one of the most popular Xiaomi phones, the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Flipkart offers a lump sum rebate of Rs 2,000 on both variants of the Redmi Note 5.
After the discount, the price of the phone's 4GB model of RAM rises to 12,999 rupees from the 1499's 1499 rupees, while the 6GB model of RAM sells for 14,999 Rs. The initial price of the 6GB variant of RAM of the Redmi Note 5 Pro costs Rs 16,999 in India. Beyond this offer, Flipkart offers up to 12,250 rand in exchange for Redmi Note 5 Pro, which brings the price of the phone to as low as 749 rupees. This price is 4 GB of RAM. However, if you want to buy the phone's 6GB RAM model, Flipkart offers an exchange value of up to 13,850 rupees, which will lower the price of the Redmi Note 5 Pro to 1,149 rupees. The offer looks attractive, but there is a problem.
To get an exchange value of 12,250 rupees, buyers will need to swap their Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to get the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Why would we do that? Whether in terms of design, specifications or overall performance, Note 8 is better every day than the Redmi Note 5 Pro. This is also due to the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro belong to a completely different price segment and so it makes no sense to give up the Galaxy Note 8 to buy the Redmi Note 5 Pro in exchange .
The Redmi Note 5 Pro is one of the best phones made by Xiaomi in recent years. The phone is positioned in one of the best places in the price segment below 15,000 rupees. But, when it goes against the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, it is impossible to compare the two phones. The Samsung phone comes with better hardware (Snapdragon 835), a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED larger and larger, two cameras at the back and much more. The Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a 5.99-inch display, is powered by the Snapdragon 636 chipset and 4000 mAh battery. The Xiaomi phone also comes with two cameras on the back, which is very convenient, but comparing the Note 8's camera system to the Redmi Note 5 Pro will be unfair.

So you should buy the Redmi Note 5 Pro at Rs 749? NO. It is recommended not to fall for this exchange offer offered by Flipkart on the Xiaomi phone. Try instead the 10% instant discount offered by Flipkart to SBI debit and credit card holders. In addition to the fixed discount of Rs 2,000, buyers with a debit or credit card from the State Bank of India can benefit from another instant discount of 10%, which will further lower the price from the Redmi Note 5 Pro. After applying the SBI offer, consumers can get the Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB RAM model for 11,700 Rs, while the 6GB RAM model can be entered for 13,500 Rs.
