Mahindra Alturas will be the official name of the next full-size SUV from the UV manufacturer, named Y400. A version of the Mahindra brand SsangYong G4 Rexton, informed sources have confirmed that the SUV will be called Alturas in India. The Mahindra Alturas (Y400) will be one of the largest SUV ever developed by the automaker and the company confirmed that the latter be offered exclusively via the distinct upscale areas defined in the existing showrooms of the company. These areas are called "SUV Worlds" and will include a more premium dealership experience for the customer, both for sale and for service. In fact, the company positions the SUV as a full luxury SUV offering luxury and exclusivity.

Visually The next Alturas will look a lot like the SsangYong G4 Rexton, but will feature a new Mahindra style grille brand logo at the center address. Similar to other Mahindra SUVs, the Alturas will also feature an abundance of chrome.
