The Mahindra Marazzo was launched a few months ago on the Indian market. The first month, Mahindra's minivan offer has managed to attract more than 10,000 bookings.

The Mahindra Marazzo has recently been updated with Apple CarPlay. It was originally designed with Android Auto only, but the Marazzo became the first Mahindra product with Apple CarPlay.

The Marazzo minivan is offered in a seven and eight-seater configuration, starting at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex showroom price (Delhi).

MPV Marazzo monitors are available with a single motor option; a 1.5 liter diesel unit generating 121 hp and 300 Nm maximum torque. The engine is standard on a six-speed manual gearbox.

Mahindra would work on an AMT gearbox for Marazzo, while a gasoline engine is also part of the company's future plans for the minivan.

By contrast, Maruti Suzuki is about to introduce his latest iteration of Ertiga in India. Before its introduction on the market, Maruti offers strong discounts on its current generation Ertiga minivan.

The new Maruti Ertiga will be based on the HEARTECT platform, similar to the Swift and Dzire models.

The new generation of Ertiga will be equipped with the new 1.5-liter K-Series petrol engine featuring the soft hybrid technology of Maruti. The power unit will produce 104 hp and 138 Nm of torque. The Ertiga is also available in diesel version with a 1.3 liter engine generating 89 hp and 200 Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki registered a drop in sales of Ertiga, mainly due to the arrival of the new generation model. The new generation Maruti Ertiga, once launched, is expected to offer strong competition in sales at Mahindra Marazzo.
