Much speculation has been made about the future of John Cena at WWE. Cena had to participate in the Royal Rumble, but he was removed from the competition at the last minute. "The Champ" has a lot of commitments to make for the movies, so his appearances at WWE have been very limited. Cena is one of the biggest stars of the company. WWE could count on him to return in time for WrestleMania 35.

Cena is currently in Vancouver for the filming of his upcoming film "Playing With Fire". production until 1 April. WrestleMania 35 is April 7th. Cena will not be seen on WWE television before that date. It was thought that Cena would be facing Lars Sullivan's "Show Shows", but there has been no update on Sullivan's health since January. According to reports, Sullivan was supposed to start playing with Cena in his debut, but he had suffered anguish that led him to miss several rounds. A new report now indicates that Cena vs. Sullivan are no longer on the table.

WWE has found a new opponent for Cena at WrestleMania 35 and is none other than the Scottish Terminator, Drew McIntyre. Several reports say that Cena will definitely participate in WrestleMania 35 and that he could have a head-to-head match against McIntyre. Ringside News said that "currently, the backstage of the WWE is preparing to place Drew McIntyre in a match against John Cena on April 7."

Mike Johnson of PWInsider was also very confident Cena is part of WrestleMania 35 on a certain level.

"John Cena is shooting his new movie until April 1st in Vancouver, British Columbia. This gives him six days to play a match at WrestleMania. It is possible that he will appear, "said Johnson.

" I would be shocked if it does not appear, whether it has a match or not. I did not hear about anything.

If WWE decided to take on the fight between Cena and a dangerous opponent, such as McIntyre, the match could be stellar. The two superstars have a story against each other since McIntyre attempted to attack Cena on his return to Monday Night Raw. Cena's team finally triumphed in a draw, but the story between them seemed far from over.
