The 61st annual Grammy Awards take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Regarded as the biggest night of the music industry, this year's Grammys are marked by high-profile defections and controversies. Rappers Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino will not participate in the ceremony, probably because of historical Grammy ignorance of rap.
Cardi B, meanwhile, is considered one of the favorites of his album Invasion of Privacy, potentially becoming the first rapper since 2004 to win this award. She will compete with Drake and Kendrick, who produced the Black Panther album. The rappers lead the pack of nominees with respectively eight and seven nods.

Alicia Keys, laureate of the program for the first time, organizes for the first time 15 times. Dolly Parton was honored before the Grammys with a commemorative performance by several artists, including Pink, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, among others.
With a high-level performance of Lady Gaga, Diana Ross, Travis Scott, Dua Lipa and Camila Cabello, the 2019 Grammys promise to be an entertaining evening.
