"Rishi Kapoor is doing very well and will be back soon," says his son Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor recently reviewed the current state of health of his father, Rishi Kapoor, and revealed that the 66-year-old actor "was doing very well" and that he "would be back soon," reported PTI news agency. Ranbir, who spoke with the media on the sidelines of the 2019 Zee Cine Awards, told PTI: "He's fine, he'll be back soon." During the course of the interaction with the media, Ranbir also stated that his father, who had been last seen in the theater drama of 2018 Mulk lacked work in movies. "There are missing movies he wants and he's praying that he'll be back soon," said Ranbir Kapoor, quoted by PTI.

Rishi Kapoor went to the United States for medical treatment in September of last year. The actor was accompanied by his wife Neetu Kapoor and was frequently visited by members of the Kapoor family. Earlier, there were rumors that Rishi Kapoor was fighting cancer. However, his older brother, Randhir Kapoor, denied the rumors, but he revealed the nature of his brother's illness.

Ranbir Kapoor frequently visited his father while in New York. The actor was even accompanied by his girlfriend and co-starred Alia Bhatt Brahmastra who spent the New Year together.
