Before the release of "Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene & # 39; On July 12, Sundeep Kishan talks about the film, what makes it so different, why it's not an ordinary horror film, why it became a producer and more. Extracts from a frank conversation.

Did you make the film solely because of the genre?

Honestly, I have never wanted to make a horror film. I like watching horror movies, but I'd usually think that an actor would not have much leeway to play in the genre. Even when the genre enjoyed a period of prosperity, I kept it apart. But when director Caarthick Raaju recounted the script, I felt that the film was going beyond horror. It's more emotional and I wanted the audience to experience it. The film switches between future and present. The story takes place partly in 2043.

You have described it as a multi-genre film. What's different? NVNN & # 39; others?

Horror is a universal genre that can be enjoyed by all audiences. There have been new films in the genre – such as "Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada", "Gruham", "Prema Katha Chitram". As I said, my movie is more than horror. The public will not say that "NVNN" is only a horror film after watching.

What about the quotient humor?

There is a lot of comedy in the movie but it's not there for fun. The audience will appreciate the entertainment quotient in the movie. The character of Posani Krishna Murali garu is extraordinary.

The visuals in the trailer and the songs are really good. Tell us about that.

The technicians, like SS Thaman (musical director), were chosen keeping in mind the genre. I must say that the film is high in technical finesse. The singles published so far have become hits. There is one single that has not been released to ensure that the story is not revealed. You can enjoy it in the film. As I said, the film shows that the future will be in 20 years or so. It was done with imagination.

What made you become a producer?

As everyone knows, I have not had a hit for two years. Three of my films failed and each time I was able to find out what was wrong after they were made. I can not blame anyone of my choice. I turned a producer to take things in hand. Even the promotions of & # 39; NVNN & # 39; were carried out in a new way. We started with posters in the bathroom. As a producer, I have the freedom to do things the way I want. When I'm not a producer, it's not my money and I would not have a lot of freedom. My producer does not need to believe in what I believe. If an actor persists, this will be called an interference. Most of the time, I made conscious and cautious decisions, they worked for me.

How confident are you of the success of "NVNN"?

We are absolutely certain that the film will succeed. If I say that the movie is very very good, the audience could say that it is very good or good. They will not say that it is bad. We are sure of it right now. We sold the film successfully on all territories. Anil Sunkara garu presents the film.

Some big names bought the "NVNN" remake rights in Hindi. They liked it instantly. In fact, they do not like it so easily. If our film surprises them, you can imagine it. I do not want to reveal their names now. I can say with pride that it is the best movie of my career.

It seems that you are doing everything in your power to promote the film. Is not it?

We dedicate all we've won to promoting the film before the release. We also organized tests of audience. We took care of all aspects. The trailer showed the scenario of the film. The film has more to offer because it includes many elements. Those who liked the trailer will love the movie even more.

Your director has reached this stage after a long wait. Tell us about him.

The film should work for my director as well as for the heroine (Anya Singh). My manager had left a lucrative job years ago to realize his dreams. My heroine went through difficulties in her personal life for two years. They deserve all the success.

How did you see your failures in recent years?

I almost fell into depression. I went to the United States to rid myself of it. I do not discuss my professional problems with my family. The only person with whom I share things is my sister, who works for Euros. She has a lot of talent. Upon his return from the United States, "NVNN" was selected after listening to over 30 stories. I think you have to create your own opportunities.

When "Sneha Geetham" and "Prasthanam" arrived, no one knew Sundeep Kishan. I have since made movies in three languages. I want to do more. I want to make bigger films, bigger films in terms of premise, visuals, scale and canvas, no budget. I have done well in Tamil and Hindi, but not very good in Telugu. It's like losing on the field.

What about your stint with digital media?

I played an impulsive role for Pucca for Amazon. Raj-DK headed it. Titled "The Family Man", it's a big budget action thriller.

How is your restaurant business doing?

I created the restaurant to provide financial security for my parents and my sister. I made 12 movies for free in my career. That's why I always need financial support for my family. I have to give back to my parents. My restaurant is doing well and I am happy.

After "NVNN"

"Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL" is a humorous film whose story has been adapted by G Nageshwar Reddy. For me, it's a complete gender change compared to "NVNN".
