Airplane passenger whose body odor dies forcibly

A Russian guitarist, whose irresistible body odor required a plane to make an emergency landing, died Monday.

Andrey Suchilin was removed from a May 29 flight from Spain to the Netherlands after pilots made the decision to make an emergency landing in Portugal as a result of complaints of pbadengers.

The smell was so bad pbadengers were nauseating and would have started to faint, according to Newsweek. The incident has made headlines around the world.

Tragically, it has now been revealed that the smell coming from the musician was not due to poor hygiene but because of the necrotic tissue as he had developed a necrosis during his holidays in Spain.

In a May 30 post on Facebook, Suchilin, 58, said his health insurance had expired and that he and Lidia were in the country without "money, consular support, and medical care."

"The tragic and comical aspect of this whole situation is that I've caught a disease, which (let's not say how and why) makes a man very stinky," Suchilin continued.

Necrosis is a disease in which body tissues die after being deprived of oxygen. It can be caused by a number of things, including wounds, infections, frostbite and deep vein thromboses. It can be treated, but the affected areas often need to be removed surgically and in a timely manner.

However, Andrey wrote that he had been informed by doctors in Spain that "it was an ordinary beach infection".

The next day, his wife wrote on her Facebook page explaining that her husband was in intensive care and that his condition was critical. She asked their friends to raise money to help pay for medical expenses.

On June 2, Lidia wrote another update saying that despite surgery a few days earlier, "tissue necrosis could not be stopped" and her husband was in a medical coma.

Suchilin's condition is worsened with tissue necrosis spreading to new areas such as the heart and lungs of his kidneys. He died on June 25, with Lidia writing, "Andrei is gone, Alas."

This is not the first time that a Transavia Airlines plane is making an emergency landing due to strong odors. In February, an airline pilot landed a plane after a fight broke out over the continued flatulence of another pbadenger.

Although the pilot warned the pbadengers to stop, after the altercation continued the pilot decided to make an emergency landing at the Vienna airport, according to a British newspaper Metro.
