Airtel seems to have turned its attention to customers who do not use a lot of data but make heavy use of calls. Telco, which constantly feels the heat of Jio, BSNL, Vodafone and Idea Cellular, has launched a new charging pack for callers. The pack comes with unlimited calls, however, there is no data benefit bundled with this pack.
The new Airtel recharge pack costs Rs 299 and it offers a validity of 45 days. Customers can make unlimited calls to local and STD numbers, as well as outgoing roaming calls. There is also an advantage of 100 SMS per day with this pack. However, there is no data available under this pack. The Airtel Rs 299 voice pack is currently available in some circles including Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Gujarat, Bihar and Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh West, Maharashtra and Goa.
The Airtel Rs 299 Refill Pack is on the heels of the recent overhaul made to daily data plans and combo call. The company recently reversed the Rs 149 and Rs 399 charge packs to offer the benefits that were offered before the review. Airtel has an Rs 199 recharge pack that offers the same call benefits and SMS, in addition to 1.4 GB of data per day for 28 days. This brings us to the strangeness of the Rs 299 pack, even if it offers 45 days of validity.
Airtel is constantly facing stiff competition from incumbents who have almost flooded the tariff market in India, thanks to the rise of Jio. as a company targeting a broad base of users with the help of the lowest prices of its voice and data plans. It has recently reorganized its postpaid offers to tackle the growing rivalry between other telecommunications companies that now seem to want to upset the postpaid mobile sector in India.
