The announcement of Total Dhamaal provoked a certain craze in the trade. Even if the series is not as important as the other comic series such as Golmaal or Housefull it certainly has a good reminder value. Thus, with Indra Kumar bringing together big names like Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit and the original cast of Riteish Deshmuikh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaffery, Total Dhamaal managed to create a whole curiosity.

First and foremost, the film is now the most important first first week's film of a comedy to appear outside the holidays. Devgn also holds the record for the biggest vacation record in his history with his Golmaal Again collecting 136 Rs crore during his first week. It was during Diwali and the next best is the Judwaa 2, of Varun Dhawan, who had the advantage of spending a vacation at Gandhi Jayanti which resulted in a crore number of first week of 98.08 Crore.
90 rupees for this multi-starrer, this is a fairly satisfying feat, as comedies usually have a (relatively) limited diffusion in theaters, although they have a great importance for satellite and digital circuits.
However, Total Dhamaal turned out to be an exception, as it does not target much more than Judwaa 2 for lifetime collections. While the film directed by David Dhawan had collected 138.61 million rupees in theatrical collections, Total Dhamaal would expect the film to reach the figure of 150 million rupees.
What makes the movie truly remarkable for Devgn is the fact that he is listed in the Top-10 Best Weeks for a Humor, he has up to three movies in the List – Golmaal Again Total Dhamaal and Golmaal 3 . In fact, Deshmukh has an even better record since he has appeared in four of these comedy films – Dhamaal Total Housefull 3 Grand Masti and Housefull 2 . Arshad Warsi also boasts of three films in the list – Golmaal Again Total Dhamaal and Golmaal 3 .
As for Kapoor, he has two. name – Total Dhamaal and Welcome Back . For its part, Madhuri also finally has his name, after some unsuccessful attempts with films like Aaja Nachle Dedh Ishqiya and Gulaab Gang .
It's also good to see some seasoned administrators taking a dip in this list. Indra Kumar ( Total Dhamaal Great Masti ), David Dhawan ( Judwaa 2 ) and Anees Bazmee ( Welcome Back ) have been in the business since decades and they certainly understand the pulse of the public, which is visible in the kind of steps their comedies guarantee to the box office.
In the months to come, remarkable new comedies will also be released. and we hope that new records will be created with their arrival. Housefull 4 is the largest of them and all eyes are on the multi-starrer backed by Sajid Nadiadwala (Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol) to set new records regarding his exit of Diwali.
Paagalpanti by Anees Bazmee, who presents his hero Welcome Back John Abraham, with Warsi. We are already told that there is something to make people laugh.
With plans already prepared for the manufacture of Hera Pheri 3 and Golmaal 5 to come, Expect a lot more laughter from the public when these big groups play on the big screen.
