The robbery took place last Monday, when five men in a hoodie entered the store, ripped out shelves objects, and has escaped. Again, like the other recent incidents, the men were African American and in their mid-twenties, but were not armed.

The incident occurred about 20 minutes before the store closes at 9pm. The thieves attacked and overthrew a man who tried to stop them from leaving the store. Another similarity with the previous Apple Store burglaries, it seems that the thieves had an escape car ready outside, possibly with another accomplice.

This is just the latest in a series of Apple Store hits California as well as a couple in New York, although the police are uncertain if the authors are the same. Apple for its part uses special versions of iOS for its demonstration devices in stores, which can be disabled if they are stolen.

However, it is likely that thieves plan to sell iPhones and iPads to naive customers, who would not check feature before buying it.
