Keeping in mind the need to combat the dengue epidemic in Dimapur, the social development wing of the Nagaland Baptist Churches Council, Nagaland Development Outreach (NDO) in collaboration with the Christian Institute The National Program for the Control of Vector-Borne Diseases (NVBDCP) organized a workshop at the Baptist Church of Lhomiti in the village of Lhomoti to train youth, village council members and the church, so that they can sensitize their respective communities. He also highlighted the measures to combat dengue: 1. Properly dispose of solid wastes and eliminate artificial mosquito habitats; 2. Cover, empty and clean household water storage containers once a week; 3. Apply mosquito repellents and wear bright clothing that covers well; 4. Prevent mosquitoes from accessing nesting habitats through environmental management, modification, and management; 5. Release larvae eating fish in water containers; 6. Clogged Transparent Drains
Earlier in the program, Dimapur District Vector Leader Dr. Imtiwabong delivered the welcome address.
