Apple today launched the second beta release of an upcoming iOS 12.1.1 update intended for developers, a week after the launch of the first beta and just over a week after the release of IOS 12.1, a major update bringing many new features to iOS.

Registered developers can download the new iOS 12 .1.1 beta from the Apple Developer Center or over the air link once the appropriate configuration profile has been installed from the Developer Center.

Update iOS 12 .1.1 reintroduces the feature that allows you to take a live photo during a FaceTime call and makes improvements to the FaceTime user interface.

Following the update, FaceTime features a reworked lower bar featuring quick access buttons to mute a call and reverse the camera. Dragging up on the bottom bar opens additional options with the participants in the conversation. Previously, FaceTime users had to tap three points to access a secondary menu with these features.

iOS 12 .1.1 also adds a new option in Apple News to hide the sidebar of the iPad when using the application in landscape mode, an option to disable the physical SIM card in the device in favor of the eSIM, and this changes the Apple Watch application icon so that it looks like the Apple Watch series 4.

Update: Apple has made available to public beta testers a new beta version of iOS 12 .1.1.
