Ariana Grande earned another top spot on Monday, February 25, surpbading Selena Gomez as the most followed woman on Instagram. Ari had barely eclipsed his fellow pop star with 146,286,173 followers. Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo beat both women. Last October, Gomez won the title of the most followed personality on Instagram. 13 million new Instagram subscribers in the last four months and an overactive presence on the platform.
In comparison, Gomez announced in September that it would take a major break in social media before then going to a mental health treatment facility.
Ari's new Instagram title follows his record-breaking success with the release of his fifth album, Thank U, Next spending a second week at the top of the Billboard albums chart 200.
