It is a fact that the budget segment is the busiest in India with regard to phones. In developing countries like ours, consumers generally prefer to buy phones that have eye-catching designs, decent hardware, and all for an affordable price. With pocket-friendly here, I mean under the Rs 10,000 category. Unfortunately, while there are a lot of phones in this segment, those that are worth buying are few and far between. Many phones sold for less than Rs 10,000 come with a boring design, outdated software, mediocre cameras or slow performance. Finding a versatile under 10,000 rupees is rare.

There are exceptions, however. And these are the exceptions that are part of this list. So, without much publicity, here are the Rs 10,000 phones that you should keep in mind in case you are looking for your next smartphone.

We would have called it "the best phone under Rs 10. Period."

But, considering the price of the phone – Rs 9,999 for 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and Rs 11,999 for 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage – what the offers of Redmi Note 5 Pro are brilliant.

This brand was introduced by Oppo in order to compete with Xiaomi and Honor in the budget segment towards the mid-range. The first Realm phone that Oppo has launched in India is the Realme 1 and we find that it is a good offer. We looked at Realme 1 and found a decent under-Rs 10,000 phone. The only areas where Oppo could have worked a little more to improve Realme 1 are the design and the display.
