CGD Adani Gas Bags Project for Udupi

Adani Gas Ltd (AGL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd, has launched the Gas Distribution System (CGD) project for the Udupi District.

Citing Kishore Alva, co-chairman of the Adani group, which runs the projects of the Adani entity in Karnataka, a press release announced on Tuesday that AGL would develop networks of CGDs intended to supply commercial natural gas and domestic; compressed natural gas (CNG) to the transportation sector (automobile / vehicle consumers) of the district.

The press release indicates that AGL is one of the winners of the 9th call for tenders issued by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Commission (PNGRB).

The CGD project in Udupi District will be completed in eight years and will include 11 CNG retail outlets and a 569 km long steel pipeline, as well as PNG connections at 1.10 lakh households . He stated that the network rate is ₹ 30 per million British thermal units (MMBtu). The project in Udupi district will provide jobs for residents, he added.
