Cody Rhodes had the opportunity to speak to the media after AEW Fight For The Fallen. AEW had just finished its third wrestling competition and everyone was very tired after such a long night in extremely hot Jacksonville weather. However, it is only the beginning of their journey.
Rhodes speaking about AEW's conception and admitting that everything that was going on in the situation was ridiculous so far. However, it is a very real thing that will continue as well.
"All about AEW was ridiculous. We are going to start a wrestling business, it's difficult. Hi to all four Matt, Nick, Kenny, you're going to run it and I'm the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars. All this is so ridiculous that the roots are deeply rooted here [in Jacksonville]. As if I had roots here because of Dusty, it's one thing, but AEW's roots are there. I mean, if we had a home, it would be one of them, Atlanta, Chicago, where a lot of work is done.
We will have to see what will be the next step for AEW, but we know that there is a TV show the way in October on TNT. These things have worked perfectly so far, so hopefully they will retain their popularity by attracting new fans who understand what AEW is.
