Corning unveiled Gorilla Glbad 6 as a brand new glbad protection for mobile devices. As a successor to Gorilla Glbad 5 that was launched in July 2016, the new development is designed to be designed with an "entirely new material" that can withstand several drops. The New York-based company stresses that the new glbad protection is its most durable protective glbad to date. Although the company did not disclose devices featuring the new glbad panel, he confirmed that the latest creation is currently being evaluated by multiple customers – suggesting its debut in the coming months. The next-generation Galaxy Note, due to arrive on Aug. 9, could become the first device with Gorilla Glbad 6.

In its laboratory tests, Corning claims that Gorilla Glbad 6 has survived to 15 drops of 1 meter high on Gorilla Glbad 5. The company used a new glbad composition to make the Gorilla Glbad version cool able to withstand several drops. "Gorilla Glbad 6 is an entirely new glbad composition that can be chemically enhanced to give it significantly higher compression levels than with Gorilla Glbad 5," said Jaymin Amin, vice president of technology and development of products at Corning Gorilla Glbad. Corning Specialty Materials, in a press release at the announcement of the new panel. "This allows Gorilla Glbad 6 to be more resistant to damage, and since falls failures are a probabilistic event, the added compression on average increases the probability of survival through multiple fall events."

Durability, Gorilla Glbad 6 is designed with optimized optical clarity, touch sensitivity, scratch resistance, efficient wireless charging and increased durability to adapt to modern design trends. Corning believes that modern smartphone designs use glbad for more than 85% of the enclosure. "With both aesthetic and performance benefits, glbad is on the right side of the technology curve and will continue to be the material of choice for mobile consumer electronics," said Scott Forester. , Division Vice President, Marketing Products and Innovation, Corning Gorilla Glbad, in the statement.

Corning claims that Gorilla Glbad 6 should "reach the market in the coming months". While the list of devices with the panel has not yet been revealed, the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be the first model with the latest Gorilla Glbad panel. Back in 2016, Samsung brought the Galaxy Note 7 as the first device to Gorilla Glbad 5.
