At the opening ceremony of the BlizzCon 2018, Blizzard unveiled the next Diablo titled, Diablo Immortal, which is a upcoming mobile game. Since the announcement, there have been a lot of mixed reactions and confusion from the fans.
Fortunately for me, I was able to sit down with the demo to get an idea of from Diablo . on the mobile stage. To my surprise, I left happier than disappointed. So it seems that skills can be spent as much as you want.
I was able to test their main feature online by going to a dungeon with people on my table. I did not experience any lag or image loss, and it seemed like the loot thrown into my game was not shared by the other players. After the last boss, the demo ended around 15 minutes later.
I replayed it, this time with Barbarian, to test the performance of a melee-centric character on the mobile. Platform. To my surprise, it was almost better than Wizard. I was able to steer my skills in any direction towards the thumb slide, and this seemed intuitive to me. I think this game can be aimed at someone who is looking to kill 20 minutes of train rather than spending hours at home grinding. However, there is still pleasure to enjoy in this simplified RPG.
Before any final judgment, I would still like to see their online game implementations, as this seems to be a critical factor in the game, according to the developers. And the equipment that is not visible on my character somehow remove a funny aspect. Diablo generally refers to looting. They may be optimizing the use of the data, or maybe it's not quite ready to be implemented.
I'm also intrigued by how they will work in the game. As you know now, this is a "free" mobile game, which will most likely mean in-app purchases. As for what can be bought remains unknown – I could probably bet that it's a mix of beauty products or maybe stamina to play at more levels.
This does not seem to replace a real suite of Diablo III- and online anger over how this game was revealed certainly has merits – but this seems to be something light for the fans while waiting for an inevitable Diablo IV . Regarding the right of the fans to be dissatisfied with this announcement, I am sure that Diablo Immortal is not what the main fans wanted of the franchise, but that does not detract from this that this mobile game has to offer.
I would like to await further details on this game, including the guilds and the new content, before making a more critical judgment on the final product of by Diablo Immortal .
