Facebook ends forced arbitration of sexual misconduct complaints

Facebook removes the mandatory arbitration requirement for allegations of badual misconduct, by accessing a request recently made by others technicians from Silicon Valley.

Google made a similar change on Thursday, a week after thousands.

The move to Facebook, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, means that employees no longer have to submit to private arbitration, which kept allegations of misconduct secret and sometimes allowed the perpetrators to continue behaving. Employees can now take their claims to court. Other technology companies, such as Microsoft and Uber, have already dropped the compulsory arbitration.

Facebook will now require senior and senior managers to disclose their romantic relationships with company employees.
