Fortnite Playground update is live, but you still can not play

[ad_1]

The latest Fortnite update, v4.5, is now available on all platforms. In addition to introducing a new weapon and other features to Battle Royale and Save the World, it marks the beginning of the game's last time-limited mode, Playground – although so far, the mode has been temporarily disconnected.

Unlike previous time-limited modes, Playground is designed to be a "low-pressure environment" that acts as a private server. It allows players to explore the map, devise strategies and play freely with up to three friends without risking being eliminated by other players.

Each round in Playground lasts one hour, and the storm circle will not begin to close on the map before 55 minutes of play. Friendly fire is activated, although players will reappear immediately unless eliminated by the storm. There is also a lot more loot to find. 100 Llamas will appear on the map, and players will receive 10 times the normal amount of all resources collected during the match.

Playground is not the only time-limited mode available in Fortnite this week. Final Fight Teams of 12 is also underway at Battle Royale. This mode runs like a standard Battle Royale game; However, the storm circles stop closing halfway during a match. Once the circles are over, a final countdown will begin, with the remaining teams fighting to have the most surviving players at the end of the time.

Epic has not announced an end date for the Playground or Final Fight teams of 12. Fortnite's limited-time modes are usually only available for a week, but it remains to be seen if Playground will remain in rotation a little longer than usual. to make up for his downtime. You can read more details on each mode – courtesy of the patch notes on the official Fortnite website – below.

Epic still has not provided a schedule for the Playground mode. The mode was taken offline because of a mapping problem that appeared as a result of the deployment of the 4.5 update. This issue has since been resolved, but Epic says it's "a continuous job" to put Playground online. The developer will provide other updates on the Fortnite Status Website.
