The television actress Hina Khan made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The Kasautii Zindagii Kay paraded for the second time on the red carpet Saturday and literally shone in a gray and dramatic draped dress.
Hina first marched on the Cannes red carpet during the screening of Brazilian film Bacurau on Wednesday. She was wearing a gray Ziad Nakad dress with dramatic ornaments.

She had also unveiled the movie poster Lines at an event on Thursday. She shared this on Instagram with the caption: "Emotions do not change because of the boundaries between the two, the life and fate of Nazia are a simple portrait of any girl who faces the magnitude of ordinary challenges in a not so ordinary story. #Lines is my debut in the movies. I hope you like it all as much as we like it. This is the first look launched in Cannes and an official poster that represents more than a poster can be!
The actor was however criticized by an editor who had posted in his Instagram Stories, "Cannes has suddenly become Chandivali Studios Kya?" She found support in several television actors who defended her, criticizing the editor for her comment. Sumona Chakravarti, actress of the Kapil Sharma Show, shared a long post supporting her. She wrote: "Stylists say that stylists do not want to give their clothes to TV actors … to launch us typists … without even giving us the opportunity or to consider us for film auditions and now for web shows . TV actors are opposed to unsuccessful movie actors or simply those who have played small characters roles. "
We are hard working actors. Everyone does not come from a business or movie background. We all know the bitter truth of Bollywood (nepotism and casting are an existing reality, let's not kid ourselves). An artist is an artist, whatever the medium. Respect, she added.

When Salman Khan was asked about his reaction to the controversy, he said, "It is the editor's responsibility to make such a comment, so thoughtful. I do not understand what he meant? Cannes is Chandivali or Chandivali goes to Cannes. Hina participated in Bigg Boss 11, hosted by Salman.
Hina now takes a break from the television series Kasautii Zindagii Kay in which she plays Komolika. She will now work on her debut at Bollywood.
