Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): NCC cadets attending the 24th Nagaland (Independence) Company's annual training camp in Dimapur were specially trained through an awareness campaign on HIV & AIDS and addiction.
Yanger Kier of the District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Dimapur led an awareness program under the umbrella of Nagaland AIDS Control Society, informed a press release of the Camp Commander. Cadets were also shown to the integrated mobile counseling and testing unit, and how the HIV test is performed.
The cadets decided to make those around them aware of the disease and to spread the message wherever they are, according to the release.
Earlier in the day, cadets attended an honor guard exercise prepared by the NCC's permanent staff of instructors, Hav Sanjay Kumar. It was followed by the Inter Cie Honor Guard Competition. As part of the training of trainers, NCC badociate officers also received retraining and training courses
