The case was registered at the Mataur Police Station in Mohali District, Punjab.

Honey Singh was sentenced under sections 294 (punishment for obscene songs and lyrics) and 509 (punishment for words, deeds or acts to insult a woman's modesty) of the CPI, PTI, Chief Superintendent of Mohali Police, Harcharan Singh Bhullar, told PTI.
