Huawei to launch a gaming phone by the end of the year, foldable phone in 2019: Report

Huawei would work on a game-oriented smartphone. The smartphone in question, which has not yet been named, will apparently be using Huawei's GPU Turbo technology, though it is not clear whether this phone would be actually a large-scale gaming phone like the Asus ROG phone or more like a mid-range offer on the lines of the game of honor. The report, which quotes Huawei's consumer affairs chairman Jim Xu, also says the company will launch a foldable phone in 2019.

Huawei Honor subsidiary launched the Honor Play gaming phone in China in June. Although the Honor Play does not shine from a purely material point of view – when you compare it to other dedicated phones such as Xiaomi's Asus ROG phone and Black Shark – it incorporates two technologies: Honor / Huawei and said to stimulate gaming experiences mainly on rivals. GPU Turbo technology is considered a graphics processing acceleration technology achieved through hardware and software integration, resulting in "a more fluid and mobile gaming experience. faster". The games will apparently play up to 60% more graphics processing efficiency, while consuming up to 30% less energy thanks to the Turbo GPU, the company says, adding that the technology will even make the games in HDR.

Turbo GPUs will benefit mobile games that require high-efficiency graphics processing, according to Honor, and the game of honor will be the first phone out of the box. But it will not be the last. Honor will deploy the technology on existing phones like Honor 10, Honor View10, Honor 9 Lite and Honor 7X, via a software update in the coming days.

But coming to the game of honor, it's also the first phone in the world to support the 4D game, which means that it can apparently detect a number of game scenes including blows, explosions and earthquakes. In addition, the phone supports 3D sound so that players can locate specific areas in the game such as firing angle.

Rest of the agreement is pretty standard. The game of honor, in fact, lies beneath the list of Honor 10 phones in Honor, which means that technically it is not a flagship. It comes with a metal body, U-shaped antenna lines at the top and bottom, and a fingerprint reader mounted at the back. Honor also uses a special film on the screen of the game of honor to reduce glare in a warm and sunny environment.

The Game of honor has a 6.3 inches 1080p + screen with a top notch. It is powered by Huawei's Kirin 970 home-brewed processor with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage that is also expandable. The phone runs on Android 8.1 based on Oreo EMUI and incorporates features such as network optimization in the game so that the phone can seamlessly move from Wi-Fi to mobile data to ensure uninterrupted gameplay. The phone is backed by a 3,750mAh battery.
