The opening of the first IKEA Indian store in Hyderabad means a lot to IKEA and we want to offer the best possible meeting with IKEA for the many Indian customers, "said Peter Betzel, CEO of IKEA Retail India.
Hyderabad: Sweden's leading home furniture retailer IKEA has postponed the launch of its first store in India to August 9, announced Friday.
It will be bigger than the Hyderabad store with five square feet of lakh.
The store will also have a 1,000-seat restaurant, the largest of IKEA's in more than 400 stores worldwide.
Company officials said last year that they planned to open 25 stores in India by 2025.
