Starting this week, you can add a soundtrack to your stories on Instagram.

While recording stories with background sound was possible earlier, the new addition allows you to choose a track before or after recording the video, reports Engadget. All you have to do is tap a photo or video and a music icon will appear. Tap on to choose from the library to search and add a track.

To meet the needs of users residing in developing countries with erratic Internet connectivity and entry-level devices with little storage, Instagram has recently announced the Lite app version. Instagram Lite for Android is now available in some countries and it started testing in Mexico this week, reported TechCrunch.

As its name indicates, the application is a dimmed version of the original Instagram and weighs 1 / 55th the size of the main application You can publish photos, stories and browse the Explorer tab. However, it does not allow you to share videos or Direct Message friends.

Instagram has also launched video calls for iOS and Android users. The new feature will allow four friends to group video calls via Instagram Direct. The company mentioned in a blog, "Last month, we announced that new updates came on Instagram to bring you even closer to the people and things you love." These updates – including Video Chat, the topic channels in Explore and the new camera effects for Stories – are in progress today. "
