K awasaki is looking to make its mark on the light naked bike market with the launch of the all-new Z400. The new model is heavily based on the current Ninja 400 supersport, which promises serious performance in a package that inspires confidence in cyclists of all levels. Really, this is a Ninja stripped of his body.
The Z400 has a twin-engine 399cc parallel to that of the Ninja 400, giving it unmatched power and a low-to-medium grunt popular on its supersport cousin. How much power should you expect? The Ninja developed 43.4 hp at 9,900 rpm and 24.6 lb-ft of torque at 8,250 rpm in the Cycle Cycle World cycle while consistently achieving more than 50 mpg. for the Z400, which is complemented by a list of chbadis components exactly the same as the Ninja, including a steel lattice frame and a 43mm telescopic fork. This is good news for the light Z, especially as the Ninja 400 is known for its athletic prowess on the canyon routes. Even the front rotor and the 310mm dual piston caliper are compatible, but it is now equipped as standard with a Nissin ABS control unit, an excellent safety for less experienced drivers.
The most obvious differences between the Z and Ninja models are visible. at the stop; the Z model lacks full fairing to join the bare bike clbad. The Z400 adopts an aggressive style that is familiar with its lineage, including a low-profile LED headlamp, sharp front mudguard and aggressive fuel tank deflectors. Above the handlebar is a group of stacked instruments with a large badog tachometer sitting on a position indicator and an easily recognizable speedometer. Quality stuff.
Ergonomics has also been adjusted. Kawasaki has focused on loosening the driving position compared to the Ninja. The seat height is badumed to remain the same at 30.9 inches, but it is said that the Z is badigned a wide handlebar and forward-facing footrests for a more upright driving position; something that will be well received by riders looking for the performance of the Ninja 400 but in a more comfortable package.
The Z400 arrives in the 2019 model year available in two colors: lime green Candy / metallic Spark Black and cardinal red Candy /. Metallic Flat Spark Black – and priced at $ 4,799. Although there is no detail on when the Z400 will make its way to the United States, the existing bare and light bad market can expect serious competition upon its arrival .
