Kodi Ramakrishna, successful filmmaker, makes his last breath in Hyderabad

Kodi Ramakrishna, one of the most successful filmmakers of Telugu cinema, has made his last breath in Hyderabad today. The veteran director was rushed to AIG hospitals in Gachibowli yesterday morning after complaining of acute shortness of breath. Under the constant supervision of a team of doctors, he was undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) and was kept under ventilator (survival system). However, his state of health continues to deteriorate, he died this afternoon following a lung infection.

Kodi Ramakrishna suffered a stroke of heart and a paralytic attack a few years ago. However, with proper medical treatment, he completely recovered soon. But luck did not favor him this time.

During an illustrious stage career spanning more than three decades, Kodi has directed more than 100 films in multiple languages, including Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. In 2012, he received the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for his contribution to Telugu Cinema. He hails from the city of Palakollu in the western district of Godavari, in Andhra Pradesh.

In addition to making hit movies such as "Muddula Menalludu", "Sathruvu", "Ammoru" and "Arundhati", the multi-talented filmmaker has also starred in a handful of films, including "Dongata", " Aasti Mooredu Aasha Baaredu "," Inti Donga "and" Mudilla Muchata ".
