As Suzuki prepares for the launch of the new Burgman Street 125 in India, the scooter has arrived at dealerships across India. Dealers quote a price of Rs 68,000, ex-showroom.
New Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is a maxi scooter and is powered by the Suzuki Access 125 engine. Once launched, it will be the most expensive Suzuki scooter on sale in India. It will compete with Honda Activa, which is the best-selling scooter in India.
2018 Suzuki Burgman Street Receives Bold Front Apron, LED Headlamp and Taillight, Wide Seat and Features among which are a multifunction key slot, a storage compartment under the seat, a 12V charging socket and it becomes the first Suzuki scooter in India to sport an all-digital instrumentation console.
It is based on large alloys wrapped in tubeless tires. The suspension at the front is via a telescopic fork while at the rear you get a single shock suspension for better driving comfort / pbadenger. For added safety, Suzuki offers the combined brake system (CBS) on the Burgman 125.
The engine specifications on the new Burgman Street will be identical to those of Access 125. This 124cc, single This air-cooled engine delivers 8.5 HP at 6500 rpm and 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm. Compared to Access 125, the Burgman Street 125 is heavier with a curb weight of 110 kg
Destined to be Suzuki's flagship scooter in India, Suzuki Burgman 125 will not find real competition in terms of style and design . It will, however, compete with Honda Grazia, Honda Activa 125 in the 125cc segment. The mileage figures will be announced at the launch event tomorrow in Delhi.
After its launch in India, the Suzuki Burgman will also be exported to markets abroad. Indonesia is one of the first markets to receive the 125 Burgman after India. Suzuki confirmed the launch in Indonesia of Burgman 125 at the GIIAS of 2018.
