Ah, this joker. It is already sowing chaos. After filming Raw at SmackDown, you knew that Raw should return the favor, right? AJ Styles opened the show but was quickly interrupted by Sami Zayn, who was eager to resume his speech the day before Braun Strowman interrupted it.
Styles – Contrary to Zayn's holiest attitude while standing up to complain about Zayn's stench. We had a song to "take a shower!" Decent, which bears witness to Zayn's nervousness lately.
The two types of Raw were then interrupted by WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, who confronted both of them to be on his show. It's a continuation of Kofi's newfound confidence and he got decent replies while he was there. On top of that, Kofi was happy to face the two competitors in a triple threat for his WWE title.
This decision raises some very obvious questions. If someone had to win a title under the rules of the Wild Card, would he change his mark? Is it even important, since they could show up at their original issue with the same generic card rule?
That said, I do not want to complain too much. A main event of Styles vs Zayn vs. Kingston would almost certainly be a good time – and guess what? C & # 39; was. What was most remarkable, however, was the role played by Kevin Owens. Owens appeared in a promo video earlier in the night, citing his birthday as the reason he would not participate in the series. In fact, he was returning home
… except that he was not. In the heat of the main action, Owens rushed to attack Xavier Woods and give Sami Zayn a distraction that would allow him to win the victory over Kofi. However, the champion persevered and ended up winning.
The thing that interested me most about it was … what did Owens try to accomplish? Was he trying to get Kofi to pay the title, or was it just for him to send a message? I'm baduming this last point, but that does not make much sense to me; Kofi is brimming with confidence since his victory at WrestleMania. I do not think a small sprain is supposed to put him out of action.
It was a good game for me, but hey, a good match. I can not complain too much.
Shane Shenanigans
Shane McMahon plays an important role in this series and I thought his roles were random. He began by talking about the SmackDown Live Tag team championships and how he narrowed his list of players looking for the right duo for the championships. At first, it seemed like the answer would be B-Team for me; To which other Shane team was he even badociated?
But no, the team he had in mind was Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan, wearing the new Amon Amarth t-shirt. Of course, they were eager to have tag titles, but our third / fourth Wild Card attendees chose this moment to make their presence known: The Usos.
The use that was offered to them here pleased me. Usos have for so long been synonymous with SDL tag titles that it would make sense that they are shocked by the way Shane wanted to … give them to a team. They were determined to win Bryan and Rowan, and that's exactly what they did.
The match was primarily used to establish Rowan as a scary big guy. He had several counters of what the Usos were doing late in the game, like stopping them during a double dive to the outside. In fact, Rowan did everything for his team to win the titles. No big problem here.
The problem I had with Shane's business came after that. He stayed at the edge of the ring all that time and during another commercial break to start sneaking into the ladder matches and The Miz seemed to attack him. Now … it's strange for me for several reasons.
One: I very much doubt that the McMahon allowed Miz to attack one of their own. Will he be punished? Two: Why did he wait so long? Shane was at the edge of the ring for almost 30 minutes. Three: NOW-B-Team comes back to meet Shane's demands. If they do not find tag titles, what does Shane do for them? Four: Is not Elias supposed to belong to Shane's little group as well? Is it reserved only for Reigns?
So it goes without saying that I'm not really sold for this film Shane / Miz. I loved the creative work of the camera during their fight on Raw, but it seemed dull to me.
The Rest
Ali def. Andrade via DQ – It was a small, decent sale for the men's match. Ali's promotional videos are super cool and unique; I'm glad they let him do something creative and begin to explain what this "light thing" is about. The match was good before Orton's intervention and I also liked very much the fact that Ali stood up against Orton when he had had the opportunity.
But that said … the RKO for everyone
The promo video of Roman Reigns – Here the story is whitewashed, but I liked the general theme. This is a way to introduce Roman to this guy who has won tremendous victories throughout his career and how great it is that he had the chance to hurt cancer. These two things are true.
… But when they showed people applauding his initial victory in Rumble, I shook my head and laughed. Yes, that's what happened.
Finn in Ireland – Laaaaame. I mean, it makes sense for him to return home early with the tour abroad about to start, but that would have been nice if he had had something more in this ladder match than a quarrel with Andrade. I imagine that he will be at Raw next week to catch up with him.
Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville def. Carmella and Ember Moon – It was similar to Raw's Lucha House Party game in that I do not remember anything. Considering it was our only female match of the night, it's unacceptable. Paige went out to announce to Rose and Deville that they will face Asuka and Kairi Sane next week, but that too has fallen to the water.
Behind the scenes, Lars intimidates Matt Hardy and R-Truth – here really bothered me. Matt Hardy has taken so much care to add the nickname of Lars before pronouncing his name. It seemed stupid to me; no one speaks like that. All this talk "I have never seen anyone like him" is also cliché. Whatever it was, Lars attacked both of them behind the scenes.
Promo Aleister Black – Aleister's promotions are starting to lose enthusiasm for me, but they are still interesting. He uses unusual words and discusses complex problems before summarizing it with a troubling look and a disturbing one-liner. During his promos, it seems to me that I miss something that will only be revealed when fighting resumes. Or maybe not. We will see.
This kind of card is strange and we'll have to get used to it. And despite the inclusion of some Raw talent, this release of SmackDown did not marvel. There have been good times, but I do not think anyone at home would miss the episode very much.
