The highly anticipated "Maharshi", the 25th film by Mahesh Babu, caused a huge conflict between the two main producers C Ashwini Dutt and Dil Raju.
The veteran producer C Ashwini Dutt claims at all costs a share of Rs 10 Cr in the profits of this project, while Dil Raju claims that he did not earn a single rupee through this project gigantic thanks to the pre-publication.
Dil Raju's claim that "Maharshi" is a business at a loss for him as the budget soared and pre-publication activities only covered expenses. But producer Ashwini Dutt does not buy his theory.
When you produce a movie with a superstar like Mahesh Babu and you do more than just preliminary sales of Rs 130 Cr (theatrical, satellite and other), you say you are not making any profit.
If you can not even get a pie from Rs 130 Cr, what is the point of producing a movie with a superstar? Ashwini Dutt has this argument
Ashwini Dutt wants a minimum of 10 Cr of Rs in relation to the affairs of this film. Since he's delivered a lot of blockbusters in the past, he does not want to be badociated with a superstar project for his namesake.
He does not win anything to attach the name of his banner to "Maharshi", there is no added value for him if there is no monetary gain.
As everyone knows, the film is produced jointly by Dil Raju, Ashwini Dutt and PVP, on the advice of superstar Mahesh Babu. He wanted to settle the three commitments in one go.
Mahesh Babu took a lead over Ashwini Dutt a long time ago. He wants feedback on this project at all costs.
What will Dil Raju do now? How will this matter be resolved? Mahesh Babu will he intervene?
