Maruti Suzuki, India's largest automobile company, is working on a facelift of its upscale Ciaz sedan. The new version should be unveiled in the last quarter of this year. The high-end sedan segment was introduced in 2014, and has since been updated with some minor cosmetic changes. However, the next model of Ciaz 2018 should be a major update, according to a teaser seen in the promotional video of Maruti Nexa on Twitter.

The Ciaz 2018 should have a new 1.5-liter K15B gasoline, which also powers the next generation Ertiga and S-Cross. The engine should produce 104 hp peak power and 138 Nm of torque. The engine would have an optional 6-speed manual transmission (AMT) or a 5-speed manual transmission. There would also be a diesel engine variant, but there is no information on its technical details.
