Microsoft may not have smartphones yet. Despite the completion of its telephony business in 2016, rumors about the elusive Surface phone have continued to float on the Internet. Project Andromeda
This is the name of the secret project under which Microsoft engineers are building the new phone, which will have a foldable screen. According to an article in TheVerge, Microsoft is working on a phone that suits your pocket and promises to be a "new disruptive category". The report also claims that the Surface Phone will bridge the gap between the mobile experience and the PC experience.
It is also said that Andromeda is a modified version of Windows 10 OS. The new software should retain the main features of Windows 10. It is also likely to come with some unique features that take advantage of existing features of Microsoft. For example, it would be supposed to support the Continuum mode to bring the desktop experience to the device. It will have CShell, a new user interface that adapts according to the position of the device.
A closer look at the design
The strong point of Microsoft Surface Phone is that it will not be your conventional phone, at least in terms of design. Featuring a dual screen, the surface phone can be folded inward – similar to Samsung's foldable Galaxy X concept. It will also be equipped with a stylus.
"Prototype models of Microsoft Surface Phone support pens and notebooks as applications to take quick notes," reports TheVerge.

The website also points to 3D conceptual renderings published by the famous designer David Breyer in 2017. He says that the early models pretty much resemble concept art. Conundrum chipsets
Microsoft and Intel are longstanding partners. But lately, Microsoft has shown affection towards other chipset companies like Qualcomm. Although there are a number of Intel-Microsoft devices, Microsoft also has a partnership with Qualcomm to launch high-end Windows laptops.
Microsoft has not yet decided to opt for Qualcomm, already a popular mobile chipset company, Intel, its long-term partner.
