Moto Z's line of devices is Motorola's flagship offering and comes with high-end hardware. Some devices are even compatible with a multitude of devices ranging from zoom to extra battery. The Moto Z3 is yet to come, but we have a fair idea of its specifications. Attachments are sold separately and are called Moto Mods. Today, we have learned something interesting about the Moto Z3 and a specific Moto Mod that it might contain.
Moto Z3 should launch with 5G Moto Mod
We do not know exactly how a Moto Mod 5G is supposed to work or even how this rumor has come to be. But according to "reliable" sources on the Internet, the Moto Z3 will probably be launched alongside what could be the first detachable 5G detachable dongle in the world. The company posted a video on YouTube announcing an event in Motorola's US headquarters for August 2nd. The release of the Moto Z3 is certain at this stage. The 5G device in question will be exclusive to the Verizon network and may not work outside of a few cities where the 5G is tested. Now, let's take a look at what the specs on the Moto z might look like.
Moto Z3: Specifications
The Moto Z3 is likely to come with a 6.3-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1080 × 2160 (I hope). We do not know if the panel will be hacked and sincerely hope that will not be the case. There is also the possibility of a sandwich glbad design and a fingerprint scanner mounted at the back. Rumors indicate that it might not come with an unbreakable glbad, unlike the Moto Z2 Force edition of last year. As it is Motorola's flagship offering, the Moto Z3 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octa-core SoC coupled with an Adreno 630 GPU.
The main camera should be a dual camera installation with two 12 megapixel sensors on the back, one of which could be a depth / telephoto sensor. The secondary camera will probably be 8 megapixels and will come with AI-driven portrait mode and similar features. The cameras themselves do not look impressive, but a good Moto Mod can do a lot to fix that. 4k video recording capabilities will most likely be capped at 30fps. The base version will come with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM, while the maximum version will come with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM. Additional memory can be added via a micro SD card.
One can expect a battery of the order of 3000-3 500 mAh to power the Moto Z3. With Snapdragon 845, support for Quick Charge 4.0 is native. Other features include 802.11b / g / n / ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS and a Type C USB port for data upload and transfer.
Moto Z3: Price in India
The Moto Z3 is expected to retail around the Rs 25,000 mark in India if it releases here that is. Rs. 25,000 may seem to be a reasonable price for a device powered by Snapdragon 845, but the disadvantages far outweigh the lure of a cheap "flagship" device. Motorola's software support has been far from ideal for the last few months and we do not see that changing anytime soon. The 5G Moto Mod looks interesting, though. The prospect of a detachable accessory that allows the 5G on a smartphone could be one of the brightest innovations to come out of Motorola. We will have to wait a few days to find out.
