Mozilla, the creator of the open source Firefox browser, apparently works on a new Internet browser named Fenix for the Android operating system (OS).
The new app should target a young, tech savvy, Android headlines reported on Sunday.
Mozilla contributors have started to contribute more actively to the project since June, according to GitHub's version history overview. The GitHub list was found for the first time by a Redditor
There was no comment from the Fenix developers on their browser marketing plans in the immediate future, adds the report [19659005]. Also unclear from the end of the developers, especially when Firefox remains one of the most popular Android browsers with more than 100 million installations so far, according to its official Google Play list.
Founded in 1998 by members of Netscape, the source software community currently has three different Android browsers – Firefox's flagship browser, Firefox Focus's privacy-focused beta, and Firefox Nightly's beta.
