OnePlus released a new software update for older phones, such as OnePlus 5 and 5T, to add support for Project Treble. The software update package also includes the latest October security patch and Idea VoLTE support. For those who do not know, Project Treble is a Google platform that allows smartphone manufacturers to deploy operating system updates faster. With Project Treble, builders do not need to change the client's UI to deploy an Android update. It works on Android Oreo and later versions of the operating system.

Regarding the Android 9.0 Pie update for the OnePlus 5 and 5T, the company confirmed that it was slightly delayed. The company's CEO, Pete Lau, recently spoke to social media about it. In an article on Weibo, Lau said that the OnePlus smartphone launched last year and the year before will receive Android Pie after a few days. The list includes OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.

Lau adds that this delay is due to the fact that the developers would need more time to work on OxygenOS, based on Android 9 Pie, intended for these devices. However, he did not specify what took the time. In addition, the next tentative schedule for deployment is not mentioned.

The company is now ready to launch the OnePlus 6T. Before the launch, the device was leaked. The company will most likely sell the OnePlus 6T with three RAM and storage options. The OnePlus 6T (Black Mirror) 6GB RAM + 128GB storage could cost Rs 37,999, while the OnePlus 6T (Mirror / Midnight Black) 8GB RAM + 128GB storage could be priced at Rs 40 999. The OnePlus 6T (Midnight Black) 8GB RAM + 256GB storage can be priced at Rs 44,999.
