The CEO and founder of OnePlus, Pete Lau, said the company was planning to produce a 5G smartphone next year.
According to a GSM Arena report, Lau stated that his devices would be sold in the United States. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer had previously used direct sales in the country.
Lau hopes that this change will bring new users, unlike hardcore fans. Selling the phone in the portage stores would give consumers more time with the phone, which would reduce the risk of buying a device online without holding the device.
Lau pointed out that phones that are sold by US carriers would be free of bloatware – pre-installed apps that users may or may not need on their phone, often of a permanent nature.
Meanwhile, OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 6GB 256Gb storage variant in India on July 10th. will be available on Amazon.in or the official OnePlus website for Rs 43,999.
OnePlus has sold more than a million units of its latest flagship device, the OnePlus 6, in just 22 days since its launch.
OnePlus 5 and 5T products pbaded the million mark, but it took them more than three months to get there.
