Oppo F9, F9 Pro Ready for launch earlier in August; Receives Bluetooth certification

Oppo is preparing the next generation of smartphone selfie focused on Oppo F7. The successor of Oppo F7 calls Oppo F9. And more importantly, the company is trying to offer parallel diversification by launching a Pro version of the same. The Oppo F9 Pro, as its name suggests, could have slightly more powerful and better specifications than those of the Oppo F9.

The Oppo F7 became official this year in March. In other words, the smartphone has barely had time in the real world, before the company is already deeply in the development of its successor. It appears from a list on the official Bluetooth website that Oppo is gearing up for the launch of the next iteration of the F series smartphones.

Oppo F9: gets a Pro version

L & # Oppo F9 received Bluetooth certification earlier this month. There is nothing special mentioned in the list except for one thing. The certification list reveals that the F9 will be accompanied by a Pro variant. Incidentally, the Pro version is rather intriguing because Oppo mentioned the list as F9 / F9 Pro. This might suggest that there may be a Pro version for some markets. In addition, Oppo can not sell the device with the standard F9 variant. However, these are only mere speculations at this stage

There are no specifications mentioned on Oppo F9 or F9 Pro except for the It will support most of the cellular connectivity standards such as GSM / GPRS, WCDMA and FDD-LTE. The bands that these devices support indicate that they will work with all 4G service providers in India.

It may be that no specific information is available on future devices, but the F-series smartphones have always been marketed as excellent selfies. These devices are usually mid-range smartphones with an emphasis on camera sensors.

Oppo F9: Two Cameras

About the camera, Oppo will most likely integrate a dual camera configuration into the next F9 / F9 Pro. Interestingly, accompanying the list, there is also a teaser that is not heavy on the details. In fact, it is just a preview, which confirms that the next iteration of the Oppo F series smartphone will call the F9.

The outline is indicative of a dual camera configuration. Interestingly, as the F series appliances are popular among smart phone shoppers for selfies, the company could just slap the dual sensor unit on the front. The F7 smartphone series sported a unique camera at the front and back. But most popular smartphone brands have made the switch to two cameras for enhanced depth effect with background blur, more commonly known as bokeh.

Oppo F9, F9 Pro: Expected Specifications

If indeed Oppo does offer the F9 Pro next to the standard version of F9, it is quite likely to claim slightly better specifications. Usually, the Pro version gets better RAM and internal storage. Therefore, if the Oppo F9 launches with a 4GB / 64GB combo, then the F9 Pro could boast of a combination of 6GB / 128GB.

Oppo makes no compromise on interns. The chipset Mediatek MT6771 Helio P60 packed by F7. Needless to mention, the SoC is rather upscale. The SoC has an octa-core processor capable of reaching 2.0 GHz. This generation also had a capacitive Full HD IPS LCD touch screen with 1080 x 2280 pixels with a ratio of 19: 9 and a respectable density of 405 PPI. Surprisingly, Oppo even slapped Corning Gorilla Glbad 5 protection. In addition, the device was running on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo with Oppo's ColorOS 5.0 custom layer on the top.

Oppo usually releases the F series of phones on a six-month cycle. If the company is holding on to the same thing, buyers can expect the Oppo F9 / F9 Pro to be launched in October or November. However, rumors indicate that Oppo could just break the traditional cycle and launch the smartphone as early as next month, August. Given the unusually short duration between Oppo F7 and F9 / F9 Pro, there could not be much difference between the two generations except for camera sensors.
