Oppo, in partnership with Tencent Games, recently concluded the PUBG Mobile Campus Championship. The eSports tournament has registered more than 250,000 registrations and 10,000 teams from more than 20,000 colleges. The PUBG Mobile Campus Championship kicked off on September 26th and the finals will take place on October 21st and 22nd.
The eSports tournament started with the online qualifiers, which totaled 600 games. There were four playoff heats leading to the final where 20 teams played at KTPO, Whitefield, Bengaluru. 'The Terrifying Nightmares' of Mumbai is the winning team that won first prize, 15,000,000 rupees. The tournament had a prize pool of 50,000 lakhs, as well as Oppo accessories and smartphones.
The top 15 teams each received an Oppo F9 Pro smartphone. In addition to this, special prizes were awarded to participants for different achievements. The title of "MVP" has been awarded to the best player with the maximum number of MVP awards. 'The Executioner' was awarded to the player who kills the most shots while 'The Medic' got the most revives.
Similarly, the player who restored the most hit points receives the 'The Redeemer' award. There was a reward for the player with the maximum of killings in a lobby. Finally, 'The Lone Ranger' was intended for the player who survived as long as possible in play.
