Under JioPhone offers Monsoon Hungama, interested people can buy the JioPhone for a price of Rs 501, in exchange of their old phone. The offer will start at 17:01 on 21 July and is valid on JioPhone and not on JioPhone 2, which will be available from 15 August.
After exchanging an old phone, users will need to charge Rs 49 or Rs 153 to take advantage of all 4G services on the Reliance Jio network. The prepaid Rs 49 package offers 1GB of 4G data with unlimited voice calls for a period of 28 days while the Rs 153 plan offers 1.5GB of 4G data, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.
JioPhone 2, just as the old version will work on the KAI operating system. In terms of specifications, JioPhone 2 boasts a 2.4-inch QVGA display and comes with a QWERTY keyboard.
