Samsung has big plans for the year. The South Korean smartphone maker is preparing to launch the most anticipated device of the year, the Galaxy Note 9, on August 9 at the company 's Unpacked event at New York. Along with the Galaxy Note 9, Samsung plans to launch a Galaxy Watch and a Galaxy Tab S4 on August 9th. In addition to these devices, the South Korean giant apparently works on a gaming smartphone.

Concrete details on the Samsung gaming smartphone yet. But reports claim that the company has already started working on the gaming phone. The information comes from a Twitter user with the user name @MMDDJ_, which was quite reliable when he Leaks on Samsung's upcoming products.

With the gaming phone, Samsung may be taking other gaming-centric smartphones. The market like ROG Asus, Xiaomi Black Shark and also the Razer phone. Reports claim that Samsung has already started working on the gaming phone. Now that work is underway, we can expect the Samsung gaming smartphone to become official by next year. Again, there is no official information from Samsung on the handset.

Like other recently launched gaming phones, the possibilities are, the Samsung gaming phone will come with the most powerful processor on the market currently – Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Considering it will be a games-centric phone, the handset should have a good display and a long battery life. For the moment, there are no technical details on the Samsung gaming phone.

Beside smartphones gaming, the South Korean smartphone maker is expected to work on a foldable phone. Samsung's next collapsible phone is in the news for months now. Previous rumors had revealed that the foldable phone would call Galaxy X. But, some new reports now claim that this will not be the case. The foldable phone will not call the Galaxy X. Chances are, Samsung can use the nickname of Galaxy X for the gaming phone instead. It is important to note that none of this information has been officially confirmed by Samsung and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
