The Mercedes Benz GLA debuted in 2013 and the Stuttgart-based manufacturer's SUV baby received a facelift in 2017, albeit light. Now, some spy photos from an all-new SUV undergoing tests have confirmed that Mercedes-Benz is developing the second-generation GLA.

The similarity between the two cars is not limited to their platforms, which means that the new GLA is also adorned with Clbad A on the front. In fact, it looks like a clbad A on stilts.

It also receives angular headlights with L-shaped daytime running lights (DRL). At the back, it has rounded tail lights. Under the hood, the GLA should be offered with three engine options: a 1.4-liter gasoline, 2.0-liter gasoline and a 1.5-liter diesel, even than those found on clbad A as well. The 1.4-liter gasoline engine develops 163 horsepower and a maximum torque of 250 Nm, while the 2.0-liter gasoline is ideal for the 224 and 350 Nm models. 1.5 liter produces 116PS and 260Nm. The second generation should debut in 2019, followed by its international launch later in the year. Expect the new GLA to arrive in India by late 2019 or early 2020.
